This is a stunning and incredible piece. It is solid wood and all hand carved with a gesso overlay. The wood does have some cracks consistent with age, however no damage or repairs. The gesso is a bit chippy on it, but not effecting the carving or wood. I would very much use this lamp in my own home as truly it is spectacular. 
A strikingly distinctive, fashionably graceful addition to any room this floor lamp is exquisite.
 Measurements are 5 feet tall base to top of metal shade and 54" tall base to top of socket by 13" wide at the widest point base.
